Lighthouse teaching network

TEACH THE MUSIC.
DESIGN THE ROUTE.

A statewide program cannot put every specialist in every county. Lighthouse can concentrate advanced instruction, course production and educator development while Regional Docks, schools, community hosts and remote learners connect to the right people.

Different jobs, different expertise

Do not turn one “music instructor” into six professions.

A percussion teacher, jazz improvisation coach, live-sound engineer, AAC/access specialist and youth safeguarding lead do not become interchangeable because the program is inclusive. The system should assemble teams and train the common ANCHOR standard around them.

Instrument faculty

Private/small-group technique, repertoire and musicianship.

Ensemble leaders

Jazz, rock, metal, gospel, concert, roots, drumline, electronic and other group cultures.

Production faculty

Recording, live sound, lighting, stage, streaming, video and media.

Accessible music specialists

Adapted notation, controllers, communication routes, UDL and individualized interfaces.

Peer mentors

Musicians supporting musicians within clear boundaries and training.

Guest artists

Clinics, masterclasses, interviews and project-based instruction without requiring permanent regional staff.

Statewide reach

Lighthouse teaches farther than a single room.

A specialist can teach live from the Lighthouse studio; a Regional Dock can supply a room, instrument and local facilitator; a rural learner can join from home; an instructor can review an uploaded performance later; a school music educator can attend professional learning without sending the student away.

That is more scalable than pretending every region can recruit the same specialist faculty immediately.
